Messy play at Baby Builders...

Harrison has now progressed to the 'creepy crawly' baby builders class. He had so much fun playing with his friends again after the holiday (not that you can tell from some of the photo's!). Was lovely seeing how all of the babies have grown and progressed, and also loved catching up with the Mum's. Harrison with his little friends. All of the babies can now sit without support- amazing seeing the progress in 4 weeks A serious little boy not so sure about all of the babies at first!! Harrison loving 'messy play' with the aqueous cream Harrison with his favourite girlfriend, Abby They got the cream all over themselves so had so much fun slipping & sliding everywhere! Harrison's first camping trip at Nature's Valley

Due to the weather being so beautiful lately, oh... and a break in Pete's weekend sporting schedule, we packed the car and took Harrison on his first camping trip at Nature's Valley, Tsitsikamma National Park. Nature's Valley is a small village located at the mouth of the Groot River at the bottom of the Groot River Pass and alongside the beautiful Groot River Estuary. The village is surrounded by an escarpment on one side, Indian Ocean on the other and three mountain ranges behind. The local community is very eco-friendly so are striving to minimise any inappropriate or ostentatious developments in town, resulting is a very laid-back and low-key village. Harrison was beside himself with excitement on the first night- he couldn't understand why he was still outside for dinner and his last feed! He was craning his neck to take in all the new surroundings, including the Southern Cape Bushbuck and Vervet Monkey's which came close to invading our campsite. We strolled a...

Christmas Holiday Part 2- Franschhoek & Oudtshoorn

After 4 lovely days in Knysna , we said goodbye to the Garden Route and welcomed the Winelands in the Cape. Lunch in the Robertson Wine Valley at Bon Cap could not have been better timed with a very niggly Harrison desperate for a feed & stretch. An antipasto platter and bottle of wine was brought to us as we sat under a vine covered veranda loving the caress of the gentle breeze and warmth of the midday sun. Ahhh ... in case we didn't already, we now definitely felt as though we were on holidays! The drive from Robertson to Franschhoek takes you along route 45 over the spectacular Franschhoek Pass. The view of Franschhoek from the top of the pass is picturesque- such a cute secluded valley filled with a patchwork of vines and cape Dutch buildings. We lodged at Cabriere Cottage for 4 nights which is located in the heart of Franschhoek - ideal for exploring the endless shops on foot and travelling to the surrounding wineries (or wine farms as the South African's wo...
